Fall is a busy time around Brooks, prepping for our seasonal sales meeting, getting catalogs to press and creating all of the retail tool kits to help aid sell-through for the season ahead.
Brooks in a Box, our marketing kit that goes out once a season, delivered last week and is one of my favorites thus far. This season I went with a different approach, I wanted everything to be usable that was included in the box, against our typical through a gimmicky toy to match the concept to ride along side the content. We also eliminated the use of DVDs for sharing content, we took the plunge and invested in branded USB drives.
This season, the kit arrived in a bottle, rather than a box, so all the content was rolled up and tucked inside to form a survival kit of sorts in a bottle. Included was a set of six books, all categorized by type of information, a map of sales and customer service reps, a comparison chart, a carabiner, energy beans and a USB drive in the shape of a Swiss Army knife.
Here is a close up of the big bang, not only is it a USB drive, is it also a fully functional pocket knife, including a pen, and laser light.
Thanks to Matt Larson, for the photos.
